New Year - New Beginnings!

It is the morning of the first day. Jennifer is off to Boot Camp, Morgan starts High School today and Micah starts Middle School. I start two new courses at Westlake today; Robotics and Intermediate Science. The PTEP starts school today as well with Dr. Martin. Tomorrow night, I go to Texas State for my class with Dr. Fisher.

This will be an interesting year. I am very excited.

Been a while!

It seems like so long ago that we were in school at Texas State but it has only been two weeks. We start school on Monday in Eanes ISD as well as our Texas State Course with Dr. Martin at WHS. Class starts at 5:00 and goes until 7:45. Monday will be a long day.

He posted our syllabus on TRACS along with our first assignment.

I have my first class with Dr. Fisher on Tuesday night at Texas State.

It will be a busy week this week. I am sure I will be ready for the long weekend after this week.

I cannot do my whiteboard videos in my classroom as of yet since I do not have the projector setup yet or the tablets ready. It will take a little time to get it all done. Oh well, the students and I will begin to get to know each other and formulate a game plan of their pathway to success on the TAKS.

Online Whiteboard

Today I added an online Whiteboard to my blog. It is a free site. You can save the files for later viewing.
In Dr. Bond's class today we discussed our instrumentation for our research projects. We also shared our Reflexive Journals up to this point.
Class always seems to go by so fast in the afternoon. I am disappointed when it comes time for to be over. That sounds strange but it is a such a positive learning environment. He continually models teaching strategies in the course of the lesson.
We did a five minute observation in the Den in class today. It was interesting to see all the different observations made during the time period. Attention to detail is going to be important.
